Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA Welding)
A type of hardface welding that uses powder metal alloys to make a surface harder or tougher. HTS Coatings uses PTA welding to apply wear resistant, metallurgically bonded coatings to new parts to increase their wear resistance and to worn-down parts to repair and overhaul them. PTA welding is an environmentally friendly alternative to laser cladding.
